During Nintendo's recent UK unveiling of the Nintendo 3DS system, Electronic Theatre noticed that none of the systems available housed a Game Card in the designated slot. Over a dozen consoles were on display with various different software titles, and yet none had any media occupying their Game Card slots.

Of course, Electronic Theatre endeavoured to find the reason behind this, with a question proposed to the Nintendo representative as to whether the software being demonstrated Electronic Theatre Imagewas being run from an SD Card, or was located on the system's internal memory. The company's spokesperson declined to comment directly, simply stating that both are possible.

While the use of SD Cards is of course little indication of the system's technical capabilities, expandable in capacity as deemed necessary by the software, the fact that the Nintendo 3DS is reportedly capable of hosting such detailed, stereoscopic 3D presentations on it's internal memory suggests that the on-board storage capacity may be greater than had previously been suggested. Additionally, it also adds weight to the rumour that Nintendo intend on shipping the Nintendo 3DS console with software pre-installed on this internal media.

More details on the Nintendo 3DS systems are likely to be coming very soon, with the system's manufacturer promising more details next month. Of course, Electronic Theatre will keep you updated with all the latest on the Nintendo 3DS console.
